Google Scholar: What is it?

What is Google Scholar?

Google Scholar is a search engine that searches scholarly literature and academic resources. While Google searches all indexed information online, Google Scholar searches repositories of publishers, universities, and scholarly websites.

Google Scholar may be a convenient place to start your research because of its familiar interface, but it is not a comprehensive listing of all the resources the library subscribes to. For more precise and discipline-specific searching as well as more search features, make sure you search in the library's subject-specific databases.
